Temple Square

Sorry the picture is kind of blurry. It was sooo cold but I had my big old grey coat so I was warm. My mom bought me this coat and i used to not like it because it was sooo big, but I am glad I have it now.

So Dan and I finally got to go downtown to Temple Square and see the lights. We went on Friday with our friends Larene and James. We were greatfull that Larene drove too because after ourday we did not want to drive anymore. Early that morning we had tried to go out and do some errands but we got stuck three times and then when I was coming out of Old Navy we found one of our tires flat. Then when we got it fixed we came home and got stuck in our drive way. It was a very frusterating morning, but by the time we got to temple square we were in good spirits. It was fun to go see the Christus too since that is where Dan proposed. So that will have more special meaning now for me. Anyway it doesn't need to snow anymore now for a while. And we finally got to go to Temple Square. I was worried about not doing some of our traditons but I figure better late than never and it was actually more going the day after Christmas.

CHRISTMAS

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!!!!!

Christmas Day was sooo much fun. Last year Dan woke me up at like 7:00 in the morning, and so this year I told him that we are sleeping in. So I think we slept in til 8:30. When we got up I had like ten Text Messages from my family and some friends wishing me a Merry Christmas. Dan was a such a sweetheart and gave me some great presents. In my stocking he put an ornament a new traditon that he started last year, and then he gave me a puzzle and a game, and some candy. Then he got me a ring, a sign from Seagull book, the movie Kung Fu Panda, and some sheep skin slippers. I got him Lego Indianna Jones, The New Indianna Joens movie, The movie Walle, the book Mormon Mythellaneous, and a new shirt. My mom gave me a new comforter, 90210 season 2, Jessica Simpsons perfume Fancy. And for my stocking stuffer she gave me an Old Navy Giftcard, some cute Christmas Kleenek and some lip gloss and some make up. It was a lot of un opening up our present. Then we headed over to my Dad's house in the freakin blizzard. And my sister Angie, my brother Ryan and my sister lauren and her two kids, and AJ came too. It was sooo much fun. We played games and pretty much ate yummy food all day. It was really nice to be with my family. Its sad that Christmas is over, it always goes so fast. But I love how FM 100 still plays some christmas songs on the radio and how some of the tv channels stil play some christmas shows. It was pretty cool to have a white christmas as well.

Hi everyone MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I hope you all had a wonderful day. I know our Christmas was really good. I worked til 3 at Seagull and then we headed over to the In-laws. When we first got there we played the WEE and I love it. Its soo fun. We played bowling and baseball and Boxing. Then the rest of the family came over and we had Cresent Sandwhiches and Louise's yummy chip dip. It has become a favorite and she also made a homemade cheeseball. Needless to to say the FOOOD was sooo yummy. Then we opened presents and just enjoyed being together. It was a pretty fun night. The best gift we got was Dan got a GPS. He was really excited. Now maybe we won't get lost so much. Thanks soo much Louise for getting him that. Then Dan and I came home and we watched a Christmas movie, and I have always watched Christmas Eve on Sesame Street every christmas eve since I can remember. But just like last year our stinking DVD player died and so we could not watch it so I was pretty sad. But thats okay. We also started a new traditon last year and we track Santa on the internet on NORAD and you can see where Santa is, its kind of fun. So we had a good Christmas eve.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas time with your family and friends. Thanks for all you have done for this year. All of you has touched my life in some way. May we remember Christ who was born on Christmas day and the Reason for the Season.

Sorry Dan looks scary in this picture. We had the hardest time taking them either I would have my eyes closed or Dan did this. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! That is what my sisters and I used to do when we got excited for Christmas. Every once and a while we still do it. I can't believe Christmas is sooo close. I love the last week before Christmas. Today we had our Christmas Concert in our ward today. It went really well and it was fun. I love singing in the Christmas program. Tonight we had some friends Angel and her husband Darrin over for dinner and FHE. We watched Mr. Krugers Christmas and read the Christmas story. I cooked a yummy pot roast and potatoes.. if I do say so myself:) Tomorrow night me and Dan are goign to go to Temple Square with our friends larene and James. I love going down there even though you freeze our butts off. Anyway I wil have pictures for you tomorrow. Hope you are all getting excited for Christmas.

ENVY

Hello so I finally got it. I got my new phone today. WHOOO HOOOO. I am soo sick of my Motor Krazor. Today i got my lovely ENVY 2 phone. I got the maroon one. I got home from work at five and for about an hour and a half I activated it and downloaded things and have been setting stuff up. I love getting new phones. They are soo addicting. Cause I always want to have the latest. maybe one day I will get the I phone but for now I am sooo happy for my new phone. Here is a picture of it.

Sunday

Its been a pretty good week. I wasn't too excited for the snow storm, but i know we need it. We were supposed to go to Temple Square last night but we did not get to go. I can't believe Christmas is sooo close. I am so excited. I have been watching all the hallmark and lifetime tv christmas movies. And my sweet husband even watches them with me. I have been soo good too and not peaked at any of the presents under the tree. When my mom was here for Thanksgiving she brought our presents and a my stocking stuffer and I have not peeked once. My mom called to check up on me and I told her I have been good. She was impressed. I am excited for our Christmas program next week in Sacrament. It should be good. Anyway hope all of you have a good week.

Festival of Trees

Today Dan and I got to go to the Festival of Trees. It is a tradition that Dan and I have started. I had never gone to one until I met Dan and he took me there when we were first datin. This is our third year going together. I love going and looking at all the trees. We actually looked at all the trees today too. The last two years we have been tooo tired to see them all. I love going there and supporting Primary Children medical center. Its always so sad though to read the stories behind the tree and realized that all these people have died. But on a happy note we got lots of pictures and saw some great trees. So i will post some pictures. A lot of the themes for this years trees were, angels and snowmen trees. I can't believe some of the prices that the trees sell for. One tree sold for 26,000 dollars. We had a great time!!!

STRESSFULL WEEK

I AM SO GLAD ITS ALMOST THE WEEKEND. THIS HAS BEEN A PRETTY STRESSFUL WEEK. I HAVE BEEN GETTING MORE HOURS AT WORK AND I GOT A RAISE. WHICH IS VERY NICE, BUT OUR ASSISTANT MANAGER TRANSFERED SO I HAVE HAD SOME MORE DUTIES, SO I HAVE JUST BEEN STRESSED TO TRY TO LEARN THESE THINGS I NEED TO AND ITS CRAZY BUSY WITH CHRSTMAS. THEN I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO HELP DAN WITH HIS FINAL PAPER FOR ENGLISH WHICH WAS DUE TODAY. THEN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION HAS A LEAK AND WE NEED TO GET IT FIXED, AND THEN WE HAVE TO DO OUR EMISSIONS TEST AND WE JUST HOPE NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE CAR. ARRRGHHH SO I HAVE JUST BEEN REALLY STRESSE AND DAN HAS TOO AND IT DOENS'T HELP THAT HIS WIFE OVEREACTS AND IS ALWASY WORRYING. SO I FEEL BAD THAT I HAVE CAUSED SOME OF THAT STRESS ON HIM. BUT I JUST WANT THE WEEKEND TO COME CAUSE I HAVE SATURDAY OFF AND WE ARE GOING TO GO TO FESTIVAL OF TREES AND ENJOY OUR DAY. SO PRAY THAT WE HAVE ENOUGH MONEY FOR TO FIX OUR CAR AND THAT IS GOES WELL WITH OUR EMMISSIONS TEST. ANYWAY I AM TRYING NOT TO WORRY. I JUST HATE THAT I WORRY AND THAT I GET SO STRESSED ABOUT THINGS. I AM SO GLAD THAT DAN IS THE CALM ONE AND PATIENT. ANYWAY SORRY THAT THIS WAS SUCH A DEPRESSING BLOG BUT I JUST NEEDED TO VENT AND GET IT ALL OUT!!!!

So today at work we had Santa Cluause come. He came to promote the book The Night Before Christmas. It was so fun. He was a really good Santa. So I had Dan come bring the camera so I could get a picture. Also today at work one of my favorite LDs fiction authors came Betsy Brannon Green so I got to get a picture with her too. So it was a really fun day at work. Last night we went and saw the movie Bolt. It was really cute. I love Holiday weekends and I am soo excited for it to be Christmas. I can't believe it is only 26 days away. I have a few more gifts to get and then I am done.

Happy Happy Turkey Day!!! I hope you all had a fabolous day. I know our day was great. I am greatful for my family and great friends that I have. I am greatful for a wonderful husband who treats me like GOLD. Anyway our day was good. My mom and Walt came down from Arizona and she cooked dinner at my sister Lauren's house. We ate tooo much, and we played tons of games, and watched the Dallas Cowboys kick butt!!!! GO ROMO!!!! It was fun to see my niece Kaylie and nephwe Jaden. It has been like amonth and a half since I have seen them. I am so excited for my sister Lauren too because she got engaged to AJ. Here are som pics of the day.

O Christmas Tree

Yes so I know most of you think I am crazy.. but I just couldn't wait. On Saturday afternoon I was sitting at hoem with Dan and I said lets put our tree up. Originally we were going to put it up on Wed the day before Thanksgiving but that didn't happen. Anyway it was fun to decorate and put it up. We put on Christmas music and wrapped a few presents. I have not put up my decorations yet but those will be goign up soon. So here are a few pics of our lovely Christmas tree. Now all it needs are presents. So last night was the night. Yes TWILIGHT was here. Me and my friends, Juliet, Paige, Lauren, Brianne and Syrina went and saw the movie at Midnight. IT was sooo fun, but I did realize that I am getting old. It was hard for me to stay up that late. But we started out the night with going over to Paige's house and having pizza, and karoake. We were busting out the moves. Then we played games and just chilled and got all excited. Then we left at 11 and headed to Jordan Commons. It was packed.... but it was a good thing we had assigned seats. So while we waited for it they kept on playing previews for all the good movies coming out. Oh yes also we all had matching pajama bottoms that we got from Target. Yes you are thinking how old are they, but hey we had fun. Then at exactly 11:59 it started, and that is what time our ticket said. overall I thought it was pretty good. I really liked it. I liked who the picked to play Jacob, and Edward was fabolous. Juliet was next to me and she kept making me laugh, because she got soo into it. IT was pretty funny. So we enjoyed the movie. Then oh my gosh trying to get out was a Zoo. We probaably waited and in the parking lot for like 20 minutes before we could even move an inch. So by the time I got home it waw 300. It has been forever since I have stayed up that long. But heck yes it was soo fun. It was all worth it to watch Edward Cullen and I did really like the girl who played Bella too. Also everyone look for a cameo appearance by Stephenie Meyers. Anyways it was a fabolous night.

Wednesday

Hey everyone I know its been a while since I have blogged. Its just been a busy week. But tonight I get to go to the Carrie Underwood Concert at the E center so I will have to post about that later. And I hope all you TWILIGHT fans are excited out there. I keep seeing the previews and It looks sooo good. I am so excited that Thanksgivng is just around the corner. So I will write more this weekend. Have a splendid night!!!!

For my Husband

I got this idea from my friend Teresa (she also does my hair) so if you need a good hair lady she is really good. But I thought this was a good idea. Especially since it is Thanksgiving.. .its the perfect time to tell Dan how much I love him and appreciate all he does for me. He is my best friend and I love him very much. He would do anything to make me happy. He makes me laugh and pretty much every hour he tells me he loves me. He will call me at work to just tell me that he loves me. He will leave little notes on the made bed. He works very hard to support us and just does so much for me. So here is a little history of us and some fun questions.

What is his name: Daniel Steven Isham
How long have you been married: 1 1/2 years
How long did you date? We dated fours month. He asked me on March 11 to marry him and our first date was Nov 11.
Who eats more sweets? Oh that is me.... I am a sweet aholic. Every morning he asks me, "if I am going to stop at the store and get a treat."

Whose parents do you see most? It's about equal. My mom lives in Arizona so we don't see her as much, but we usually have sunday dinner with mine or his parents like once a month or every other month. Then sometimes we call dan's parents because they like to play games, and hang out with us. We have a good time.

Who said I love you first: Dan did, I was not going to say it first even though I wanted to. He had just picked me up from the airport because I had went to my Mom's house in Arizona for Christmas. I really missed him and that was when I realized that this was the real deal. I was really scared to tell him though, because a previous relationship I had said it firs tand it didn't go so well. Anyway so he picked me up and we went back to his house and we were sitting on the couch, and I said, "I really missed you" and he said, "I missed you to," and the he said actually, " I love you" and I said it back to him. it was really sweet and he had told me that he wanted to tell me over the phone but he decided to wait until I was back. it was really sweet.

Who is taller? Dan I think he is 5"10 or so and I am 5"4. I have always liked the taller boys.


Who is smarter? We both are. We have our different strengths, but Dan knows alot of stuff too. He knows alot about history and politics. And he reads lots of books. I Know a lot about Children and child care, and different things. We balance each other out.

Who does the laundry? I do. But I don't mind because dan will fold it for me and put it away because I hate doing that part.

Who does the dishes? Usually me, but every once in a while he will do them.
Who pays the bills? I do.... but Dan knows whats going on. he does not like to do it.


His guilty pleasure~ Definetly his Video games, but that is okay. He is very sweet and dosen't play them when I am here. He isn't addicted to them and it helps him wind down for the day.


Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Dan does. He actually wanted m y side but I didn't like his side because its harder to get out. So I am closest to the door.

Who has more friends? Well I think I do. Dan always says I have sooo many friends and that. I am soo popular, but I am really not. But we are starting to get some married couple friends so that is nice.

Who cooks dinner? I do.... Dan can cook eggs and hamburgers pretty good,but I do the most. MOst nights though I don't really have to cook because Dan is working at night.

Who is more stubborn? We b oth are. Dan always says I am very passionate about things, so I don't budge.

Who kissed who first? That would be Dan. We actually kissed on our first date.Yes I know Scandulous... I was really nervous. We had already held hands and I knew Dan wanted to kiss me. He actually asked if he could, it was really sweet but I was so nervouse I was like no not ye t. But about 30 minutes later I got over it and we kissed. It was really sweet we have been kissing ever since.:)

Who asked who out first? Dan did. We had actually met at his sisters house a few weeks ago, cause his sister was setting us up but then he officially called me and asked me out on Halloween Our first date was Nov 11.

Who proposed? Dan did. He was so good and had it all planned. He had intialy wanted to do like geneology and then do the baptisms for them but it didn't work out that way. So then we just decided to go to the Salt Lake Temple and do baptisms for the dead. Well it was really cool and he got to baptize me. Well the whole time I kind of had a feeling something was up because he was really smiley and just had this look in his eyes, but then I was like no he 's not going to propose. So then after we were done he took us up to the Christus statue in the visitors center and when we got up there a tour was finishing up. So we just waited and then we was like lets go up there, so we went to get a closer look and before I knew what was happening he was down on one knee and said Megan Thomas will you marry me. It was really sweet, and I had not seen it coming. I was soo giddy the rest of the day. I was on cloud 9. It was so romantic and I loved that he had it all planned out.



Who has more siblings? We actually have the same amount. We both have five brothers and sisters. We are both the fourth child too. My family has three girls two boys, and his family has three boys two girls.

What is your favorite thing about him? I can't just pick one. But he is just the most amazing person. He makes me feel beautiful everyday, and tells me. He is so willign to do anything to help me or to make me happy. He lets me know how important our marriage is and that he wants to be worthy everyday to be my husband. He literally treats me like a Queen. He still opens my doors for me and watches my cheesy movies and goes to High School Musical with me and doesn't complain. Like my friend, Teresa he still treats me like when we were dating. He is genuine and real, and what you see is what you get. I love you very much, and thanks for all you do for me.

DAVID ARCHULETA

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that David Archuleta's album came out yesterday. And I went to Walmart before I went to work and purchased it. YAY DAVID!!!!! IT is really good... and He has been on different talk shows this week and he is just so cute and you can tell he does not know hwo to handle the fame. On one of the Utah shows they asked what he was going to do with all his money, and he said:" Pay my tithing and then I guess save for my mission." Yay what a sweetie. Anyway everyone go out and support DAVID!!!!

Random Thoughts.....

Only 8 days til I get to see Twilight. I am sooo excited. My friends and I are going to have a huge party before and then at 11:59 we get to see the wonderful movie. I think it looks sooo good. I think they picked a good Edward and Bella, just from the previews.
So I totally want Derek and brooke to win on the Dancing with the Stars. They are so much fun to watch, and I think Derek has such a fun personality. I saw a preview for the new season of the Bachelor too with Jason. I am so excited, even thought it doesn't have the greatest track record of actually working out. I kind of suprised that Deanna and Jesse did not work out. Yes I know I am obssessed its just tv, but hey I love it. Only 15 days til Thanksgiving. It will be fun for my mom and walt to come and to have my mom's yummy Thanksgiving dinner. Now I know I can make it and it turns out fine but it always taste better when its your moms food.. Anyway that is enough Rambling for me.

Thankful

Hello all wow what a week it has been. I have been feeling sick with my stupid new birth control, everyday I am feeling nausea. (and no I am not pregnant). Then with the elections and all. I am just glad they are over. I don't like politics and I never have. I do think it is cool that we have our first Black President. Go figure I married a man who wants to go into Political science. Anyway this week has just been a hard one and I have been dealing with some things. I am glad that it is Novemberand that its almost Thanksgiving. What a great reminder to help us remember all the things we have. So yes this blog will be serious and sentimental but I am very greatful for all that I have.
So in no particular order here are some things I am greatful for.
-A loving Heavently Father and Jesus Christ
-My faith, I would be incomplete with out it.
-Dan my wonderful husband
-My wonderful Family.... my wonderful mom, and walt. My awesome Dad. Angie, Ryan, Golden, and Lauren.My awesome nieces and nephew.... Anya, Sasha, Katya, Jaden and Kaylie

Halloween

Emily, Ahsley, Jake and Mike

Hope you all had a fun Halloween. Ours was pretty good. We met up with Dan's sisters Emily and her three kids and Leah and her three kids and we went to South Towne mall to do some Trick or Treating. There was a lot of people there, but it was fun to see all the Costumes and kids there. Then we heaed over to Leah's house for some yummy homemade Chile and bread. It was soo good. Here are a few pictures I took of the kids.

Happy Halloween!!!! Hope you all have a great Halloween!!! We are going over to my sister in law Leah's house with my in- laws to spend Halloweeen with them. So it will be fun. I will make sure to take some pictures and share them with you. I remember last Halloween I woke up and my alarm is set to the radio and I woke up and they were playing Christmas music on Halloween morning. I thought it was pretty funny. So this morning when I woke up I listened to see what they were playing, and it was just regular so that is good. Have a great day!!!!

Random Thoughts 2

I love High School Musical 3. It is soo good. I saw it again last night. And I love the Soundtrack, I have been listening to it non-stop. I wished I could have been an extra in the movie.

Leatherby's has the best Cheese fries, I might have to say even better than Training table. Mom when you come we should go there for Ice Cream and Cheese fries.

I am thankful for my Mom and Walt and all they do for Dan and I. My most is the most unselfish person I have ever met.

I am excited to vote in the Election. I don't know everythign about whats going on, but I know this is going to be a big ONE.

I really need a pedicure.

Oh did I mention I love HSM 3?

Random Thoughts....

Its been five days since my sister has been gone and I have only talked to her for like five minutes. Its really weird, and I miss talking to her. But I know she is having fun.

I am so grateful that we have a house to live in and a car that works well. Dan and I have a lot of blessings.

I am thankful for my family and everything they do for us.

I have to clean the house but I really do not want to..... I wi sh I could afford a maid.

Tonight me and my friends are going to see High School musical 3 Again!!!! I have been listening to the soundtrack like crazy.

To my HUSBAND!!!

My sweet husband Dan and I!!!

I just wanted to write about how wonderful my husband Dan is. He does sooo much for me. He does anything and everything to make me happy. He is always very thoughtful and does nice things for me. He always leaves me a note on the bed, and he makes the bed everyday for me. He always calls me on his breaks and lets me know how much he loves me. He is never shy about telling me that or how much he appreciates me. He does so much to help out around the house, and helps runs errands for me too. I am not very good at telling him Thank you or that I appreciate him. So I just wanted to post it on my blog, so that he will see how much I love him and all that he does for me!!!!!1

So last night my friends and I went to Gardner Village for the annual Witches Night out. This is our third year going. For those of you who do not know what it is. Everyone dresses up as witches and then all the shops have sales, and prizes. They have witches contests and singing and dancing and food. It is just a fun night to go out with the ladies. Now KrisAn and I have never really dressed up a lot. So this year I just wore a witches mask, that I looked pretty silly in, and a black Trick or Treat shirt, with my pumpkin earrings and my candy corn bracelet. KrisAn wore a witches hat, and my friend Keri wore a witches hat. But our friend Marianne decked out and wore a cool witches costume. We went to Chili's before to eat dinner. It was a really fun night. And of course we hit the Christmas shoppe. I love that store. And I bought a cool ornmament. It is of Santa Clause and he is kneeling down to the baby Jesus. I am sure you most of you have seen it. I also got a book that goes a long with it and tells how that story came to be. Some of the costumes are soo cool too. Its just fun to go and see all the costumes and go in all teh shops. You can tell some people have like spent the whole year getting there costume together. It was a really fun night and its a fun traditon that my friends and I have started.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL

Today is the day!!!! Yes High School Musical is in theatres. Dan and I are going to go see it tonight. I am sooo excited!! Yes I know that I am 28 and going to see it but hey I like them and this one looks really good. I went and bought the soundtrack yesterday. So I will let you know how it is. And yes I have the best husband in the world, cause he will got with me to see my cheesy Disney Movies.

One thing you remember about a grandparent -- Grandma Thomas alwasy said my hair looked like it got ran over by a lawnmower, Grandpa Thomas always gave me kisses and then I would wipe them off and he would do it again. I remember Grandma weidler always would stock up on yummy food when we would come to visit, espeically Waffles and those yummy brownies. Grandpa Weidler always woudl take us to Mcdonalds, and we could get w hatever we wanted. Grandpa harry loved to play Uno with me, and was very kind and helped me a lot with school.

Random Thoughts

I got this idea off my sister Lauren's blog and I thought it was fun so here I go:

Prison break is one of my favorite new shows. I have never really watched til this season so I went and checked out season 1 from the library and I must say it is very good.

I love working at Seagull book. Especially since I get to borrow the demos and read all the books, and don't have to buy them all.

Forever Strong is such a a good movie. If you have not seen it you need to. Go HIGHLAND HIGH. I had no idea we even had a rugby team.

I can't wait for the Primary program is over. If I have to sing, "if the Savior stood beside me one more time,I am going to scream."

Dan always does such sweet things for me. He left me a note on the bed today, just because. ANd he always makes the bed, because it never gets made unless he does it.

Its fun talking to my sister in law Emily. I hope I can do more with her.

I am sooo excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas to get here.

I hate when people hold grudges. Seriously just get over it. Build a bridge and get over it.

Hello so Dan and I have had an enjoyable weekend. Dan had thursday and friday of this week off for UEA. We were going to go to Park City on thursday night, but Dan wasn't feeling too well so we decided to just stay here for the weekend and relax. So thursday night we decided to go to see the movie Forever Strong. Wow it was sooo good. It is about HighLand Utah's rugby team. I didn't even know about them.They had 361 wins and 9 losses. The coach of this team just seems amazing. You laugh and cry through this movie. Then on friday we slept in and did some errands and stuff in the morning. Then that afternoon I got to go help my sister lauren with her kids at Gardner Village. They were getting there family pictures. And oh my gosh all I can say is they are the two cutest kids ever. And no I am not just saying that because they are my niece and nephew. Every place we went to take a picture everyone would stop and just keep saying how cute they were. I took a few pictures of them. Of course they are not the ones the photographer took but you can see how cute they are.

Then Friday night we went to my In-laws house and played games and had dinner. Its always fun to go over there. They love to play games too. We played Are you smarter than a 5th grader? the dvd version, well it was funny too because Randy had been working on the bathroom all day they are getting a new one, and Dan was so tired sot hey both fell asleep. So Louise and I played, and we both won the million dollars. So we are going to go on a Cruise, I wish it was real. Anyway it was a great night. This blog is getting kind of long now so I will finish the rest of the weekend later. Have a great day!!!
